There are spectacular views across fields and woodland – on a clear day you can see all the way to Dartmoor. 

Take advantage of private walks around the lanes and down to the River Ottery from the front door.

Launceston is the nearest town (7 miles away). For your food shopping needs there are several supermarkets, Philip Warren Butchers, Hamilton’s Fresh Fish (in the market place on Fridays), Veg in the Shed, and lovely local bakeries, cafés, a craft brewery and distillery.

When you’ve had enough of shopping and eating, there is plenty to do – notable highlights are the spectacular ruins of Launceston Castle and the narrow guage Steam Railway

Treburtle is well placed for Cornish adventures by car too.

The coast is a short drive away – the nearest beach is at Crackington Haven (9 miles). Boscastle, Tintagel, Widemouth Bay, Trebarwith and Bude are all less than half an hour away.

Slightly off the beaten track are Hidden Valley, the Fairground Heritage Centre, Trethorne Leisure Park, St Necan’s Glen, Sterts Theatre, Alder Vineyard, and Treguddick Manor Distillery.

Cothele, Lanhydrock, Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor, Padstow, the Eden Project, and everything else that Cornwall has to offer are a day trip away.
